SHIPPING/FREIGHT:
LOCAL PICKUP:
Local pickups are preferred.
The machines weigh approximately 750 lbs, and is on casters, so they can easily be loaded on a trailer with a sturdy ramp, or loaded into a box truck with a lift gate.
LTL FREIGHT:
Available at The Buyer's cost.
Logistics costs, including packaging of the machine for transport are the responsibility of The Buyer.
LTL freight can be arranged through your carrier, or if need be, through ours. The Buyer must state how they wish to have their machine packaged, prepared, and protected for transport by one of the following methods:
1. No Pallet
2. Open Pallet w/Shrink Wrap
3. Full Enclosed Pallet
1. NO PALLET
The moving components will be secured for transport in an effort to ensure that no doors swing open to cause damage, and that the axis' and scan head do not become damaged, or misaligned.
The laser system will be picked up by the carrier, and moved/loaded by a pallet jack and/or other method of mechanical lift equipment.
Loose parts, and items that cannot be safely secured within or to the machine will be packaged in a separate box, and either dropped with a commercial carrier like UPS or FedEx, or if preferred, handed off with the LTL carrier to transport with the machine.
This option is the most cost-effective, but offers the least amount of protection.
2. OPEN PALLET W/SHRINK-WRAP
Optional, at buyer's expense. $1,200.00 Surcharge. The machine will be secured for transport on an open pallet and shrink wrapped. Some timber framing may be installed around the machine, for added support, and stability.
Loose parts, and items that cannot be safely secured within or to the machine will be packaged in a separate box, and secured to the pallet using timber framing.
This option provides less overall protection compared to a full enclosure.
3. FULL ENCLOSURE CRATES
Optional, at buyer's expense. The buyer has the option to request a full enclosure crate to maximize the protection for the machinery.
A 3rd party onsite crating company will be contacted to crate the equipment onsite prior to logistics being scheduled. Pickup and transport will be subject to additional lead time by this vendor. The charges for that service will be invoiced directly to the buyer as a "Shipping Preparation Surcharge".
A service quote will be sourced prior to committing to this option, however, anticipated estimates for 3rd party full enclosure crating of this machine should be approximately $1,500.00-$3,000.00
