Description:

This 2010 MORI SEIKI NT1000WZ 5 Axis Mill turn brings turning and milling into one setup with a Fanuc Series control and a full 5 axis layout. It uses a main spindle, sub spindle, and a tilting B-axis head so a shop can cut many sides of a part without extra fixtures. The bar feeder setup and the through-spindle coolant give steady chip flow during long cuts, and the chip conveyor moves waste out of the work area. The machine includes a probe for touch-off and part checks, which helps with quick setup. The programmable coolant lets the operator direct flow where it is needed during each step. The 5 axis milling head gives angle cuts, holes, and shapes that would usually take more than one machine. The sub spindle lets the shop finish the back side of a part without moving it to a second unit. Travel ranges give room for small to mid-size parts. The X, Y, and Z axes work with the C-axis of the spindle and the B-axis head to shape complex jobs in one cycle. The Fanuc Series control ties these motions together with steady response and clear menus, making program changes simple. Tool changes run through the automatic tool changer, which holds a wide group of cutters for both turning and milling steps. This setup is suited for shops that want to cut round parts with flats, slots, angles, or holes in many planes. Medical, auto, and general job shops use this class of machine for short and long runs. The layout cuts down on steps and keeps parts in tight form since they stay in the same hold from start to finish The machine’s footprint fits well in most shops and the bar feeder option adds steady feeding for longer runs. With the probe, chip conveyor, through-spindle coolant, programmable coolant, and 5 axis build, it offers a full setup for shops needing more than a standard mill or lathe can give on its own.
