History of Takamaz

1948 - 1968

1948: Takamatsu Ironworks Co., Ltd. was founded by Kiichi Takamatsu.
1960: Entered the machine tool industry with the T600 chamfering lathe.
1961: Reorganized into a limited company and established the current company.
1968: Relocated the head office plant to Matsumura-machi, Kanazawa City.

1969 - 1989

1973: Ms. Kuni Takamatsu became president.
1973: Opened the Tokyo Branch Office (now the Kanto Branch).
1974: Launched “MERITER” precision hydraulic automatic lathes.
1975: Began exporting “VIK MERITER” precision hydraulic automatic lathes.
1976: Opened the Osaka Branch Office (now the Kansai Branch).
1976: Introduced the TCC-8 (hydraulic) interactive CNC lathe with CRT at the Tokyo International Trade Fair.
1985: Relocated the head office plant to its current location in Matto City (now Hakusan City).
1988: Toyokichi Kawae became president.
1989: Formed a technical partnership with EMAG (West Germany) for manufacturing concrete beds.

1990 - 2010

1991: Established a second plant and relocated the Industrial Machinery Department.
1996: Founded TAKAMATSU MACHINERY USA, INC.
1996: Kiyoshi Takamatsu was appointed president, and Toyokichi Kawae became chairman.
1996: Set up representative offices in Germany, Thailand, and Indonesia.
1997: Achieved ISO9001 certification.
2000: Achieved ISO14001 certification.
2001: Listed on the Japan Securities Dealers Association market.

2013: Founded PT. TAKAMAZ INDONESIA in Indonesia.
2013: Completed and relocated a new plant for HANGZHOU FEELER TAKAMATSU MACHINERY CO., LTD.
2015: Established T P MACHINE PARTS CO., LTD. in collaboration with P QUALITY MACHINE PARTS CO., LTD. in Thailand.
2017: Founded TAKAMAZ MACHINERY MEXICO, S.A.DE C.V. in Mexico and TAKAMATSU MACHINERY VIETNAM CO., LTD in Vietnam.
2018: Soichiro Takamatsu became president, and Kiyoshi Takamatsu was appointed chairman.
2019: Opened the EASTERN SEABOARD BRANCH in Thailand.
