Becoming The Solution To The Manufacturing Skills Gap
The CNCMachines.com scholarship is a yearly scholarship awarded to exceptional students working towards a degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or related fields. Applicable degrees include certifications, certificates, associates, bachelors or masters. The total award of this scholarship is $2,500. This Scholarship renews and accepts new applications every year.
Submission Query
The concept of 'smart factories' is central to Industry 4.0, where interconnected machines and systems communicate and collaborate with minimal human intervention. Currently, these practices are predominantly being adopted by large companies with significant resources (i.e. IBM, Siemens, and GE).
Prompt: How can Industry 4.0 practices be implemented at scale, to the extent that small and mid-sized facilities can feasibly implement these standards?
Submission Requirements:
- Essays must be uploaded in Word (.doc / .docx) or PDF format.
- Essays must be a minimum of 1,000 words and no more than 1,300 words.
- Any outside sources used or referenced in your esssay must be properly cited.
- Your work must be your own! Plagiarized essays will be automatically disqualified.

This award is available for students pursuing a certification, certificate, associates, or bachelors in manufacturing or a related area of study.
When Is The Submission Deadline?
The deadline for all submissions is 5:00pm (EST) on Friday December 6th, 2024.
What Is The Award Amount?
Scholarship Award: $2,500. One winner will be selected on Friday December 13th, 2024.
