This 2021 HAAS DS30Y CNC Lathe is a versatile machine designed to meet a variety of machining needs. Built in November 2021, this lathe features several options and upgrades to enhance its functionality. Among these are a Chip Conveyor and a Tool Presetter that streamline operations, while the Bar Feeder and Parts Catcher increase productivity. Additionally, the lathe comes equipped with Live Tooling and a Sub Spindle, allowing for complex machining tasks.
The inclusion of a Y Axis and the Haas Next Gen CNC Control gives operators precise control over machining processes. The machine is outfitted with a Standard Tooling Package consisting of nine pieces, meeting various cutting and shaping requirements. The 6,000 RPM Speed Upgrade for Live Tooling and a 24 Station BMT65 Turret further extend the lathe's capabilities, catering to high-speed machining applications.
For optimized cooling, the machine has a High-Pressure Coolant system capable of delivering 1000 PSI, along with High Intensity Lighting (24V) to ensure visibility during operations. Additional features like the Chuck Air Blast and Low Voltage Transformer provide stable operation under various conditions. The Chip Tray Filter Kit and Coolant Tank Oil Skimmer contribute to easy maintenance and extended machine life.
This HAAS lathe also offers an advanced Visual Part Programming System with 1 GB of memory and User Definable Macros for customized operations. The 55 Gallon Coolant Tank supports long-duration tasks, complemented by a Cabinet Cooler for temperature control. It is fitted with a 10" Hydraulic Chuck for the main spindle and an 8" Hydraulic Chuck for the sub-spindle, enhancing gripping capability.
Additional technical features make this machine suitable for modern workshops. These include an Early Power Failure Detection Module, Ethernet Interface, and HaasConnect for remote monitoring. The HaasDrop, Media Display M-Code; M130, Rigid Tapping, Spindle Orientation, and Wifi Connection expand the functionality and ease of use. Please note that the Rota-Rack is not included in this package.
