The machine was used in our precision Swiss machine shop. It was kept in a climate controlled room. It is a perfect machine for a production shop. We loved this machine. We have closed our shop and have sold all major equipment. We are selling the remaining items which include this machine.
This machine has a small footprint but is able to measure over 90% of parts being made in US machine shops.
The Vertex uses both vision for hard to measure areas and probes for standard measurements.
The micro vu software is able to automatically calculate ppm, CPk, etc. Our shop was ISO certified and made parts for the automotive industry. This machine was our right hand in both measuring the parts (from PPAP to production to final inspection) and the software crunched all of the cpk, ppm, ppk, took wear, etc.
The speed and accuracy of the Vertex is amazing. We could run 8-10 different parts on our multi-axis machines and the vertex could check them all without us having to slow the machines down. You just put the part in its fixture, call up the program, and done. Put another completely different part in the vertex, pull up the program and done. The software would continue to crunch the numbers for inspection purposes.
