The machine is under power.
There will be a jumper on one of the circuit boards that basically lies to the machine
So it thinks the wire is making contact.
This doesn't affect anything except if there is a wire break and the machine happens to miss the re-thread, it
unwinds back to the spool and then you have to manually thread it.
Told that machine wires great.
