Machine Overview
This 1997 MAZAK SQT10MS CNC Lathe comes from an aerospace company. Since its installation, we've taken care of it over the years, doing regular tune-ups to ensure it doesn't break down and cause workflow issues. This has kept the lathe in good condition and ready to produce parts until our new machine arrives.
The CNC Lathe offers a high degree of precision. It operates within tight tolerances, important in the aerospace industry where exact measurements are needed. So, even though it's not the newest model, it's still a workhorse that will get the job done.
We're selling our MAZAK Lathe because we've got a new machine coming in. There's only limited space in any workshop, and we've got to make room. We've got our sights set on a piece of equipment that will let us do more tasks in-house. We've been waiting for the opportunity to upgrade to a newer model with the same quality which MAZAK is known for.
As for options and upgrades, this Lathe has quite a few. In addition to the basic functions, it includes a Chip Conveyor, a Tool Presetter for quick set-ups, a Parts Catcher to capture finished pieces, Live Tooling for more versatile machining, and a Sub Spindle for a wider range of operations anywhere within the workspace. These extras make the machine adaptable to numerous jobs – another reason we chose this model in the first place.
